Home Office and Branch Offices Like a family or sports team there needs to be some peer equality
concerning certain matters. If one employee is consistently late to work it is unfair and will cause problems for the others Therefore, employees are expected to adhere to the following guidelines for reporting for work;
8:00AM to 5:00PM with one hour for lunch.
Acceptable variations are up to thirty minutes each way. For example the following are also acceptable for Project Manager/Estimators.
- 7:30AM to 4:00PM with 30 minute (in office) lunch
- 8:30AM to 5:30 with one hour lunch.
Project Manager/Estimators hours may vary as needed for bids. However, under no circumstances shall work hours cause a problem in bid preparation.
Office staff will coordinate lunch break times on bid days so that there is someone at the office throughout the lunch period.
If a Project Manager normally goes home for lunch and a bid causes a problem, the company will pay for a delivered lunch (like pizza). Also, another employee can bring back a lunch. The company will reimburse
for this meal.
Employees are expected to call in if they are going to be late.
Repeated tardiness and abuse of work hour policy is cause for termination.
There is no time clock. However, if you are 10 minutes late consistently then you need to work over 10 minutes consistently.
For jobsite work hours the project superintendent will establish the work hours for a 40 hour work week. The superintendent has the discretion to
brief breaks. Revised April 7, 2000 |
